- All birds must be registered upon entry to the show hall. A separate entry form must be used for each division. Present the entry form with entry fee to the BOAF Cashier. The entry fee is $5.00 per bird ($50 max per show).
- Birds must be registered in the name of the exhibitor. Business names will not be accepted.
- Birds are to be entered singly, one bird per cage.
- After verification by the BOAF Cashier, proceed to the Division Secretary.
- Any exhibit entered in an incorrect class may be reclassified with the approval of the Judge.
- If there is a standard show cage for your division, we suggest you use it. Show cages are designed to show your bird to its best advantage. However, a clean cage in an appropriate size for your bird is acceptable. Be certain to use perches of the proper size for your bird.
- Cage bottoms must be covered with seeds or plain white paper. Water and food dishes must be at the lowest level in cage. No names, toys, distinctive marks, or other decorations will be allowed in/on cages.
- All entries MUST be registered and benched before judging has started.
- Only show staff are permitted behind the bench during judging.
- Exhibits may NOT be removed until the “Best in BOAF Show” judging, awards ceremony and public viewing period have been completed.
- All exhibitors must conform to these rules and adhere to the requests of the Show Chairperson and BOAF officers.
- BOAF reserves the right to refuse admittance or to remove any bird showing signs of illness.
- Birds are to remain in their cages. Only pet birds that are clipped or tethered are permitted out of cages, and only in the mart portion of the show hall.
- BOAF will not be responsible for any damage or loss whatsoever. All exhibits are at the sole risk of the exhibitor.
